Qatar unveils Layout for Lusail Stadium, World Cup final Place

Officials in Qatar shown the layout for Lusail Stadium, the venue at which the opening and final games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place.

The 80,000-capacity venue are the biggest stadium of the Championship, which will kick off November 21, 2022, and are the first to take place in the Arab world.

“It’s been eight years since we won the rights to sponsor the 2022 FIFA World Cup and we told the world to anticipate amazing. With this magnificent design of the showpiece stadium, I’m proud today to once again be delivering on this promise,” SC Secretary-General Hassan al-Thawadi, said, commenting on the plan launch.

“The new stadium is a nod to our past and a symbol of a thrilling future. On the exact same land as the home of our country’s founder, it sits in the core of a brand new city,” al-Thawadi added.

After the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Lusail Stadium will be transformed To a community space, such as schools, stores, cafes, sports centers and health practices, the SC said. To make way for all these amenities, many of the arena’s modular seats will be removed and contributed to sporting jobs around the globe.

International scrutiny

Beating bid rivals Australia, Japan, South Korea and the United States, Qatar won the hosting rights 2010, which place the Gulf state under raising scrutiny over the treatment of migrant workers.
